Some years ago, I had a blog on Open Salon. Its format enabled me to build a large audience quickly, and I felt myself thriving as a writer. Eventually, OS ceased operations, and for a long time I had trouble finding the motivation to write and to generate any kind of momentum for myself.
Last month, a teacher in my building encouraged me to join this challenge. This was the experience I needed. I am grateful to Suzanne for this invitation and to Deb, whom she also approached.
Also, several other participants in this challenge wrote kind comments on my posts. This encouragement has made a meaningful difference for me, and I feel enriched by having discovered their blogs.
My deep gratitude to Two Writing Teachers. Including today’s entries, I believe I have posted over 25 times this month. I have never managed this kind of output before.
I hope to participate again next year, but in the meantime, I will continue to post regularly, and I will most certainly continue to read the blogs of the fine writers I have discovered here.
It has been a great month! On to SOL Tuesday’s!
Agree! Here I come SOL Tuesdays!
Congratulations Paul! I am so glad to have “met” you through your writing. Your thinking and your story telling are captivating! I have to apologize here for not being the consistent welcome wagoner that I could have been! Know that I am following your blog and look forward to more of your brave and thought provoking slices! Yay you!
I look forward to reading more of your work, too. We poets have to stick together. I enjoyed a piece you posted some time ago, “Not Yet.”
